Getting a Mooresville Public Library card is free if you live in Mooresville or Iredell County. Out-of-county residents are charged a yearly fee of $20.00. Cards may be issued during your first visit to the library.

Applicants must complete a Library User Agreement. Adult applicants must present identification and proof of address when applying for a library card. Only one library card may be issued per person. Children age 0-15 must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign the application form. Teens age 16 and older with a photo ID may apply for a library card without the presence of a parent or legal guardian. A letter will be sent by the Library to the parents informing them that their child has been issued a library card. Teens 16 and older without a photo ID must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign the application form. Parents or legal guardians assume all responsibility for Library materials checked out on library cards used by their children and teens.
