Mooresville Public Library welcomes suggestions for new items to be considered for our collection. All purchase decisions will be made based on our collection development guidelines, availability of funds, and availability of stock from library vendors. Applicants must complete a Library User Agreement. Adult applicants must present identification and proof of address when applying for a library card. Only one library card may be issued per person. Children age 0-15 must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign the application form. Teens age 16 and older with a photo ID may apply for a library card without the presence of a parent or legal guardian. A letter will be sent by the Library to the parents informing them that their child has been issued a library card. Teens 16 and older without a photo ID must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign the application form. Parents or legal guardians assume all responsibility for Library materials checked out on library cards used by their children and teens.

Your pin number is a 4-digit number you chose when opening your library account, or by default the last four digits of the phone number we have on file. If you do not know your pin number or want to change it, you can ask for it at the Circulation Desk, request it through contact us, or call the library at 704-664-2927. You must have your Library card number to request your pin number.

There are book drops at the Mooresville Public Library and the west branch for after-hours returns. Items returned in the drops before the library opens are considered returned the previous open day. Materials returned in the book drop while the library is open are checked in the same day.

Mooresville Public Library cards are valid for a period of two years. Cards may be renewed at the Circulation Desk, through contact us, or over the phone at 704-664-2927. Online renewal requests must include the library card number and contact information. Phone requests must include the library card number and must be made by the cardholder.

Library lockers are located at the the Selma Burke Recreation Center located at 781 Agape Drive in Mooresville. Upon request, Library materials may be sent for pick-up at the lockers and returns may be placed in the book drop

Test proctoring is available for Mooresville Public Library cardholders who make arrangements at least 48 hours in advance. Use the online application to contact the Reference department about scheduling an exam.
